About Kevin Huynh, Owner Of The Nail Superstore

Although he is a transplant in the United States, Kevin has always understood the American Dream. At age 12, with a keen eye for opportunity, he noticed a need for flat-tire-patching supplies in his home town of Saigon, Vietnam.

Selling tire adhesive to hundreds of bike repair shops, Kevin was successful and able to support his family until they made their way to the U.S. to open a salon in Seattle, WA, where another supply-and-demand situation presented itself.

With the foresight to see the potential of the nail business, Kevin saw the disconnect between what nail technicians needed and the supplies currently available in the marketplace.

In 1995, Kevin moved to Chicago and opened Skyline Beauty Supply, a store designed to offer the most innovative products, technology, training tips, and business advice for professionals in the nail business. In 1999, the name was changed to The Nail Superstore — NailSuperstore.com quickly followed.

Kevin is a go-getter who works tirelessly on behalf of his employees and customers. Having traveled to more than 30 countries, he has personally hand-selected the best, innovative products and suppliers for his customers.

The Internet enabled the realization of his dream as Kevin was now able to provide the entire world with top-quality nail supplies at affordable prices. He could also offer training and a community setting where he could assist salon owners with growing their businesses.

Twenty-seven years after arriving in America with about $5 in his pocket, Kevin is proud to be called Owner of The Nail Superstore. Kevin still has a passion for and a desire to contribute to the nail industry, an industry that has given him and thousands of other Vietnamese immigrants the opportunity to earn a living and become successful in this country.

Under his leadership, we continue to challenge ourselves to exceed our customers' expectations.
